These Union (Male x Female) fittings are typically used for the easy removal of applications such as pipes and pumps that are not easily unthreaded. There are two types of unions: male and female, which are used to connect pipes so that neither pipe can easily rotate on its axis. The pipes are locked together by a radial screw or nut, secured by the sized cross-sections of the union. Under severe pulling stress from outside, the locking screw can break off, allowing the other two parts of the union to separate. In short, pipe unions enable the easy disconnection of two pipes. Typically, a pipe union consists of three parts: a nut, a female end, and a male end. These parts are locked together by at least one radial screw or nut with a sized cross-section. Pipe unions provide a leak-proof disconnection point in any piping system.
